Documents that live with your work.
Docs is the knowledge base inside Atlas. Nested pages, real-time co-editing with presence, comments, and backlinks, in the same workspace as your tasks, projects, and deals. Revisions are kept, so you can restore an earlier version.
Five things, and only five.
Docs is the team knowledge base in Atlas: pages you can nest, link, co-edit, and search, kept next to the work they describe.
- Nested pages and a page graph
Organize pages in a parent and child tree, then see how they connect in the page graph. Tags group pages across the tree.
- Real-time co-editing
Several people edit the same page at once, with presence showing who is there. Comments sit on the page they discuss.
- Backlinks
Link one page to another and the target lists the backlink, so related notes stay findable from both sides.
- Revision history
Every save keeps a revision you can restore. History is kept for 30 days to start and longer on paid plans.
- Daily notes and templates
A daily note for each day, searchable and exportable, plus page templates so recurring docs start from the same structure.
Three steps, one document.
A page moves from a template to a reviewed, findable doc in the same workspace as the work it describes.
Start from a template
Pick a page template or start blank. On paid plans, Ask Atlas can summarize a meeting or a project for you to edit into the page.
Edit together
Co-edit in real time with presence. Leave comments on the page, and restore an earlier revision if an edit goes wrong.
Publish and find
Toggle a page's publish flag, tag it, and link it. Full-text search and Atlas global search find it later.
Eight parts, one page.
A page is Markdown plus the links, comments, tags, and revisions around it.

Diagram

Six more things, all live.
The capabilities below are part of Docs today. AI features are on paid plans.
Full-text search
Search the text of every page, and find pages in Atlas global search next to tasks and deals.
Ask Atlas
On paid plans, ask questions answered from your workspace, including your pages, and summarize long docs.
Revisions and restore
Browse earlier revisions and restore one. History is 30 days to start, longer on paid plans.
Access control
Role-based access decides who reads and edits. Custom roles and audit logs are on paid plans.
API access
Create, update, tag, publish, and search pages over the Atlas REST API with a scoped token.
Bidirectional links
If A links to B, B lists A as a backlink. The page graph shows how pages connect.
Every doc lives in Atlas.
Docs shares one workspace, one login, and one permission model with the rest of Atlas.
Docs next to the work
Meeting notes, project specs, and account briefs live in the same workspace as the tasks, deals, and contracts they describe. One search finds all of them, and one set of roles decides who sees what.
Docs over REST.

Docs vs. Notion.
Notion is a flexible workspace for docs and databases. Atlas Docs sits next to your tasks, CRM, contracts, and meetings in one workspace.

Common questions.
Six things people ask when they first see Docs.
How does version history work?
Each save keeps a revision. You can browse a page's revisions and restore an earlier one. History is kept for 30 days to start and longer on paid plans.
How do pages stay organized?
Pages nest in a parent and child tree, carry tags, and link to each other. Backlinks and the page graph show how they connect, and full-text search finds the rest.
How does real-time editing work?
Several people can edit the same page at once, and presence shows who is on the page. Changes appear live as they are made, and comments stay attached to the page.
Are daily notes included?
Yes. Each day gets its own note, kept beside your pages. Daily notes are searchable and can be exported.
Do I have to use AI in Docs?
No. Docs works as a plain co-editing knowledge base. AI features such as Ask Atlas are on paid plans, run on Atlas servers, and your content is not used to train models. You can also bring your own model.
Can I bring pages from Notion, Confluence, or Google Docs?
Atlas imports a Notion export file; check the import inside Atlas for what comes across. It is a one-time file import, not a live Notion connection. From Confluence or Google Docs, export to Markdown and create pages through the API, which accepts a Markdown body.
Pairs well with.
Docs is sharpest when Meetings, Projects, and Contracts are live.
Who this is not for.
Docs is a writing surface wired to your tasks, contracts, and records. If you need a public help center or a marketing site with a templating CMS, SEO controls, and a publishing pipeline for thousands of external readers, a dedicated CMS or knowledge-base platform will fit better. Docs is built for internal work, not public publishing at scale.
